The Department of Geography offers a BS degree in two tracks; Physical-Environmental and Geographic Information Sciences.  Track requirements for each is described below.

Physical Environmental Geography Requirements

 A. Majors must complete 54 hours of geography courses.  All majors must complete the required distribution requirements (1-5) as noted below.  Majors must take both the 15 hour introductory physical sequence, and the 15 hour introductory human/regional geography sequence.  Human/regional geography may be counted toward A&S requirements.
 
All courses are three hours unless otherwise indicated (4 hours; 2 hours). Courses with prerequisites are indicated by [+].

C.   Geography Elective Course: Sufficient elective geography courses for minimum of 54 hrs.
 
D.   The following courses are also required for the BS degree in Geography.
1. Calculus, 225-226-227 (9hrs.) or 251-252, 256 (9 hrs.). Calculus may be used to satisfy A&S Mathematics requirements

2. Chemistry (15 hrs.) 101, 102, 103; lab 111, 112, 113. Chemistry may be used to satisfy A&S Natural Sciences requirement.

3. Physics/Biology option (9 hrs.)  Physics 101-103; or Biology 101-103.
