OHIO, CINCINNATI 45221-0131.  University of Cincinnati.  The Department of Geography invites applicants for a tenure track assistant professorship position in Geographic Information Sciences starting January, 2009.  We seek applicants with expertise in geographic information networks, GIS and remote sensing, in-depth knowledge on physical-environmental geography and strong background in computer science.  Applicants must demonstrate evidence of quality publications, continuous external funding and effective teaching.  The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a full program of research and teach GIScience and physical-environmental geography courses at both the undergraduate and the graduate level.  PhD is required at the time of appointment.  Salary is highly competitive and commensurate with experience.
